I very much want to believe that there are moral absolutes to follow in cases like this, but the more you learn about a situation, the more involved with it you become, and the more complicated you realize it is. Eventually, it becomes apparent that you’re going to not only have to make the decision yourself just the way the grownups always said you would, but that someone, somewhere is going to hate you for it – no matter what you do.
