Get this: During breast cancer awareness month, the weblog Baking Delights, written by Marye Audet for b5media, is hosting a Boobie Bake Off. It’s her second year hosting this event — and this year, a breast cancer cause will ultimately benefit.

If you want to participate, you have to:

  1. Snag the graphic from Marye’s site and post it to your own site explaining your intent to participate (if you don’t have a blog, just start one at blogspot or use your my space or facebook page)
  2. Bake something pink … any ingredients you want … but it has to be pink
  3. Sometime between October 1st and 15th, post your recipe and a picture of your creation to your own weblog with a link to the original post
  4. Email Marye a link to your site (marye.audet [at] b5media [dot] com) and she’ll take over from there

At that point, she’ll post a round-up on October 17th and then she’ll begin the voting phase of the endeavor. The cool thing is that readers can also vote this year; each vote will cost $1, and the entire proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and be donated in the name of the winning blogger!!!

Everyone who participates will get a sidebar graphic, by the way. Marye, I’m in, so get me that graphic!!!

Click here to get a look at last year’s entries and the ultimate winner. How awesome are these delights?

Who else thinks they’ll participate? If you do, you’ve got to keep me posted … I’ll also follow the bake off as it moves along next month.

Have fun and good luck!!!!!

thanks Karen…Last year we raised well over 100 dollars..I think it was 175? and I came up with the idea last minute. I am hoping this year, with promotion and an earlier start, to do better.
