Pink Ribbon Review BCAM Giveaway: Day One

Welcome to day one of the Pink Ribbon Review Breast Cancer Awareness Month Giveaway! In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), I’m giving away a pink ribbon product every single day during the month of October.
Today’s giveaway, the very first one for the month, is a Care Bears™ Pink Power Bear. I will send this cute little critter to one lucky winner.
Care Bears™ have always been about caring and sharing — what a perfect fit with our cause, isn’t it?
So here’s a funny story: The day I received a Care Bears™ Pink Power Bear to giveaway to my readers, my husband and I discussed the fact that we’d need to go buy one for our four year old daughter — it was so freakin’ cute, so unbelievably soft, and at about a foot tall, we just couldn’t stand for her not to have one.
So, having learned that this very special limited edition Care Bears Pink Power Bear is available only at Target, off my husband went. That very night. He got her one of her own and planned to give it to her the next day.
So, the next day, there were two Care Bears™ Pink Power Bears in my office, and apparently my six year old son also found them irresistible. Unbeknownst to me, he tore open one and helped his younger sister tear open the other and the next thing I know, the two of them were walking around with these little guys tucked under their arms like they’d always been the best of friends.
First i made a note to myself to get a more secure door for my home office. Then, I sent my husband back to Target … and he brought home one more bear. That’s the one I’m sending to today’s lucky winner. The other two have become permanent fixtures in two of my children’s lives.
Back to the giveaway … along with the cute, cuddly Care Bears™ Pink Power Bear with the pink ribbon on her chest, you get a solid plastic bracelet to “Show You Care!” — it comes attached right to the package.
The suggested retail price of this is $19.99 (which we can confirm because we’ve purchased two of them ourselves). With each purchase of this precious Care Bear, $1.00 will be donated to breast cancer research, which aims to prevent and someday find a cure for breast cancer.

My friend has struggled with breast cancer for the last year..count me in as well!
Cancer related- my Dad found out yesterday that he is cancer free!!! What a wonderful day it was. His PSA is 0. We are so happy- and I love the bears- count me in for the bear.
This would be a perfect reminder to those young girls who are just learning the about breast cancer and how to early detect. If I win my granddaughter who is going for her first exam/lessons on what to do can take this adorable bear for support. each month afterward it could be a reminder to follow up on taking care of herself. The Pink Care Bear is super adorable. I agree with what a previous poster mentioned. It is a great tool to use to teach our young female population about Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention. And, the Pink Power Bear is also a cute and gentle accessory to use to comfort those who are struggling through a tough time with the disease at this time in their life. Thank you for bringing us this wonderful giveaway and keeping the awareness in the forefront for us all!

I love care bears and I love the fact that they are supporting the mission that we all our.. Finding a Cure for Breast Cancer. I was diagnosed in January 2006 I found it early and will be celebrating 3 years cancer free in February. I am dumbfounded daily that 1 in 8 will be diagnosed.. We Must Find a Cure!!!

Please count me in also. My 14 year old niece has cancer, and she has been battling this disease since she was 3. The older she gets the poorer the prognosis, however also with each passing day the hope for a cure is still an option. This would be an awesome gift for my niece. She still believes a cure may be found, and we help her “believe” as much as possible. Thanks for this sweepstakes, on multiple levels.
