Pink Ribbon Review BCAM Giveaway: Day Twenty Two

Dama-Pink.jpg

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’m giving away a pink ribbon product every single day during the month of October.

Today, October 22, is day TWENTY TWO of the Pink Ribbon Review Breast Cancer Awareness Month Giveaway and I’m giving away a gently used Bialetti Dama Pink espresso maker.

Yes, the Dama stovetop espresso maker is available in a special pink-edition. Like I said, the one I’m giving away is gently used — by me. Last year I received one to review; I used it once so that I could review it, didn’t have a great experience, so I immediately packed it away in the box. I decided to pass it along to a Pink Ribbon Reader who knows how to make espresso and/or wins this contest.

Now I know you’re wondering … why did I pack it away? Why am I giving it away? Why didn’t I want to keep it? Well, my experience with it was a bit of a disaster … I clearly didn’t know enough about what I was doing. There were no real directions for use … and I made a horrible mess.

So my caution for people is this: if you don’t know how to make espresso, accept the fact that you’ll have a learning curve using this product. It just isn’t as easy as the automatic drip coffee maker you’re used to, it’s a whole different breed of machine. People used to a percolator will have an easier time of it for sure, but even still … I caution you to brief yourself on how to make espresso before attempting to use this product!!!

Alright, that’s that. Now, here’s what I can tell you about this product from the manufacturer end:

  • Incorporates the technological perfection of the Moka Express
  • Has an exclusive silicone handle for safe and soft handling
  • Features a soft rounded design
  • It has an eight -sided top-pot
  • It has a bell-bottom boiler
  • It can be used on gas, electric & ceramic stovetops
  • It’s available as a 6-cup size
  • It’s made of aluminum
  • It’s made in Italy

A portion of the proceeds from the product, by the way, benefits the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

And it might be yours in a few days if you win!!

Remember to follow the Pink Ribbon Review BCAM giveaway rules and leave an appropriate comment on this post before midnight EST to qualify.

Good luck!
