planning with computer collages

I’ve got a question for you all?

How many of you use computers to help plan your art or craft work?

Here’s an example of what I’m talking about:

It’s a collage I put together from these two pieces:

That’s the back of a portfolio I designed.

And the horses from my art quilt “Dawn“.

I started playing around with different images, and then different color overlays.  I haven’t had a chance to actually sew the quilt I’ve planned – but it’s a great way of working out designs… at least for me.  I’m able to change colors, design elements & composition in the blink of an eye.
