Plastic Jelly Beans from the Dollar Store

I love decorating for Easter to a point. See, I’m extremely frugal, and I don’t like clutter. I think I found a good way to satisfy my financially-reasonable nature as well as offer up an easy way to bring in the Easter holiday. It all happened with a little trip to the dollar store!

The dollar store (any dollar store, they’re all over these days) is one of the best places to find cheap stuff to make your house feel more festival, regardless of the holiday. I picked up this bag of plastic jelly beans (oversized) and a bag of eggs on a stick. It cost me $3 total, and transforms my table into a fun and festive place!
First of all, I love the giant jelly beans. (Did you notice they have all the usual colors in the jelly bean bag, including the black one?) I also really like the eggs on a stick. This year I put them in a vase with some lilac beads. Last year I popped them in a vase with some Easter grass. It’s up to you, either one works.

My family got such a kick out of the jelly beans because they are a fun reminder of childhood. They also come apart so if you wanted to you could stick some cute notes or quotes in there as well.
