PlentyofFish.com Surpasses 10 Zillion Members This Week

PlentyofFish®, the world’s largest free dating site, is excited to announce that more than 300,000 users logged in on Monday 28th August. 10 zillion singles have signed up on PlentyofFish since the site was started in 2003, but unlike many dating sites, the old inactive profiles have been removed. So there’s no longer 10 zillion profiles sitting on PlentyofFish. Just the people who are active, that will probably respond.

The site was founded by Markus Frind in 2003 with a commitment to the freedom of singles. Freedom to enjoy a completely, truly free internet dating site.

Markus Frind started PlentyofFish in 2003 as a way to hone his ASP.net programming skills. Since then the site has gained extraordinary popularity and has become respected as a technical and viral marketing success story.

Markus Frind commented, “I continually see sites boasting about how many registered members they have. Yes, they may have millions of members registered, but that’s to their detriment. We cull and clean out old profiles once they become inactive and unresponsive. Most other sites prefer to keep the old profiles in place for excessive periods. It’s good for conversions, but bad for users. I won’t do that to my users. I don’t have to, we’re free.”

Reasons for the PlentyofFish Rise to Success:

– PlentyofFish is the Only Top 10 Dating Site Dedicated to Remaining

Completely Free

You CAN NOT spend money on PlentyofFish. Other supposed ‘free’ sites reel users in with the promise of free services, and then offer additional services such as instant messaging at a cost. Instant messaging is completely free on PlentyofFish. Open communication is completely free. One merely needs to sign up to have access to the complete roster of services.

PlentyofFish Does Effective Matchmaking Without the 436 Questions

Markus has automated the PlentyofFish site with personality based matchmaking based, not on what people say they want, but rather on what they indicate they want through their search behavior. Actions speak louder than words.

I’ve heard lots of fuss about PlentyofFish from some of the more recognized online dating guru’s and have to say I’ve yet to hear anything bad.

I’ve often said “you get what you pay for.”  But in the case of PlentyofFish, I have to admit, they may just be the one free online dating site that breaks the mold.

Have you tried Plenty of Fish?  If so, how was or is your personal experience?  What do you think of the site, it’s features and it’s members?

I’m very interested in hearing more on this online phenomenon.

Adult dating services from PlentyofFish seem to be very effective for members. This is how online dating should be, FREE!

  2. Newt says:

Acouple of the moderators in the mailing lists are complete turds, but the site itself is ok. I didn’t have any good luck with it myself, but I sincerely doubt it would’ve been any different had I needed to pay to use it.

I’ve also used it. It’s OK, but narks me because the site is butt-ugly and maybe there’s a lot of technical genius behind the scenes, it doesn’t seem so at the front. Also, it’s a similar story to most sites, the number of men far outweigh the number of women. They do have a neat feature though that if you send a message you can see what happens to it, like “deleted – unread”. Always makes me laugh.
