A close loss, unfortunately. Such things happen; still thinking about it, though.

I burst into tears this morning when my husband brought the paper home with the wonderful headlines... he was astounded that we hadn't even put the radio on to hear the news :) but Brendan & I were deeply into a discussion of classic rock & roll & completely forgot about the election- thus do the nearly-teen years begin to unfold...

As for the mugen-pucchi-pucchi (in japanese it's literally "endless pop-pop")- neither Brendan nor I leave home without them. He keeps his in his pocket & quietly uses it as needed during the day with his teachers' blessing. I pull mine out at red lights when the traffic is too hairy :) Brendan's makes cute noises every so often, mine speaks to me in japanese :) :)

Since there was no school yesterday, I played with the kids and didn't look at the TV or computer until this morning! I just wanted it to be over!

Yes, now the real work begins!

Cliff, how did your mother's election turn out?

[...] unfolds and that we can remember, staying in motion—-that’s the key. And there’s a lot of hope in the air here right now, and I think we’re going to take that and run with it. Tags: asd, asperger, [...]

it's such a relief;

it just feels like we've entered a new place, where there are new rules, new possibilities.

it's actually sort of hard to believe. i'll have to drink extra strong coffee in the morning just to wake myself up to the fact that it happened.

now we can think long term. barak is president for (hopefully) 8 years. after that...dr. chew?

i'm trying to start the momentum. woo for dr. chew!
