Last Friday I wrote Mental Health Abroad: Spotlight on China, in which I attempted to provide you with Chinese mental health resources.
I say “attempted” because, well, I wasn’t able to find that many.
Fortunately, super cool reader Erin shared a paper she wrote last year about postpartum depression in China, Postpartum Depression in China vs. the United States, at her blog Shake This Riddle Off.
It’s not only her generosity that makes Erin so cool, mind you. The girl is also currently a Graduate Assistant at West Virginia University who wants to educate people about mental health.
So, check out Erin’s paper and blog and let her know what you think!

Thanks for the props! It’s a long paper, but if someone is specifically interested in the subject, I thought it would be a good resource.
I am actually getting my Master’s in Public Health right now, hoping to specialize in mental health, so I really admire your work. I’ve been a frequent reader ever since I discovered your blog a few weeks ago. Thanks for doing what you do.
@ Erin – No problem, and that’s great! Feel free to shoot me an email any time you might have a story idea.
On a side note, if I’m not mistaken, NAMI WV is going to hold its NAMI Walks event in a few months. I’m not 100% sure where yet, but if it’s kind of close to Morgantown you should come!
