Predicting Top Chef

I gave myself a challenge last week, and I intend to follow through. I must admit that I am in my infancy when it comes to my food knowledge, but I am jaded when it comes to Television Entertainment and often brag that I know a lot about Television. I am a TV connoisseur. I know what is pleasing to the eye, tasteful to the palette, what goes down smooth and just sticks in my throat with a horrendous after-taste. I am usually that person that watches a TV crime show or movie and guess the ending within the first few minutes. My husband has often been in awe asking, “How do you do it?” I answer, “A lot of years with my but plastered right here.” It takes a lot to surprise me and it seems that most shows fall into a formula. Even “Reality” TV has become formulated with good guys, antagonists and impossible odds.
So, my challenge tonight: To watch this week’s episode of Top Chef as it airs and within the first 15 minutes, predict the outcome. Will I be right or way off base? Watch with me and even play along. I should have the post up within the first half of the show…your comments and predictions are welcome. See you 10:20pm EST.

it’s anyone’s game. as soon as I pick a favorite, another emerges. also there is a lot of “doctoring” of the footage so the outcome can be surprising
Gah, please don’t. I’m in Canada, and I get the show a day later than you because I have to torrent the episode (or wait several months to see it on TV, season 3 “premiers” on FoodTV Canada in the beginning of October).
I subscribe to your RSS feed, so when you post the picture of the loser I see it before I’ve seen the show. It spoiled last week’s episode, and if you’re going to do it every week, I’m gong to have to unsubscribe!
