Steve Irwin’s treasured reserve is under threat from mining. The Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve is a wetland conservation area in Queensland, Australia. The reserve is a tribute to Irwin, and his family and others are trying to protect all of it.

The Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve is home to important spring fed wetlands that provide water to rare plants and wildlife.
While mining is important, it doesn’t have to be done in that one critical area. At Save Steve’s Place everyone can have a voice in the matter, regardless of where you live. The online petition to stop mining on the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve takes 15 seconds to fill out: your name and email address. After that, you’ll receive a confirmation email which you must click in order for your signature to be legal.
Even if you don’t want to sign, you can still read the blog to see what’s going on and cruise through photos of the reserve. If you want more info on how to help save the reserve, contact the Australia Zoo at info@australiazoo.com.au
