Spring and fall – the two seasons where most home owners find themselves with the most work to do. In the spring, we’re getting ready for the summer to come but in the fall, we’re shutting down, putting things away – and in certain parts of the US and in Canada – preparing for the winter’s snows (for those in Australia and New Zealand – this information is important too, but just imagine it as spring-prep
Seriously though, house care and clean up has its dangers, whether it’s from falling off a ladder or overdoing it and injuring your back. You may laugh, but someone I know
was injured badly (broke his nose) when he stepped on the edge of a rake and the handle whipped up and hit him in the face. Hard.
One way I tend to get sore is with the leaf raking. I rake too hard, too fast, and then end up with my sore aching back yet again. If I would just follow my own advice, I’d be much better off – I know.
Anyway, there’s an article over at HealthScout that’s a good read to help remind us of the dangers that lurk in yard and housework: Fall Cleanup Is a Prime Time for Accidents
