Pride

Tonight my husband and I went to see my youngest in action at school for their evening of student-led conferences. In the Kindergarten level that essentially meant that the students showed their parents the classroom, all the things they play and learn with, the work they’ve done recently, things they’ve created that are hanging on the walls, and so on.

It’s just surreal to watch my child lead me around a classroom (the Kindergarten class is awesome!), showing me all the things that she talks about when she comes home every day.

We also spoke with the teacher for a bit while both our daughters drew on the whiteboard. The teacher told us that although she needs to show more effort, she’s very capable, does well when she’s not goofing around, and best of all, her reading is so good now that she’s reading grade one level books.

This is a bookworm family – I am so proud!
