Producer Aaron Spelling suffered a stroke this past weekend and is being treated at home. There appears to be no evidence of paralysis. The 83-year-old has produced some extremely popular shows and I don’t think there’s anyone in the world who hasn’t watched at least one episode of an Aaron Spelling production.
What can he expect after a stroke? Some common effects include physical disability, difficulties communicating and swallowing, and some psychological changes such as depression. For more information, visit the American Stroke Association.
I have fond memories of getting together with college friends to watch Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place. Thanks for the good times, Mr. Spelling! Get well soon.
Update: Aaron Spelling died on Friday, June 23, 2006.
