The Claim to Fame
In their own words…
While experts agree that all healthy and active people need protein, there is a distinct difference between the type of protein meant for male and female bodies. Women need protein to maintain and tone muscles and increase endurance. Tight Curves is a HeartHealthy protein powered by soy protein isolates and PeptoPro, a scientifically developed protein without the digestive issues often associated with whey protein.
Most women experience issues such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea with typical whey protein products, all of which can be deterrents when trying to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Tight Curves protein has proven to be the best choice for women looking to incorporate protein into their diets due to its ability to support bone mineral density and increase firm muscles while losing unwanted body fat. It also has been shown to improve the condition of skin, hair and nails!
Each of the key ingredients in Tight Curves was chosen based on peer-reviewed, published data which demonstrated that daily use the key ingredients aids in bone density, helps maintain normal cholesterol levels, enhances fat oxidation, and mood and blood glucose support.
According to the packaging, Tight Curves was created exclusively for women to help tone muscles, eliminate excess water and blaoting, help manage weight, improve hair / skin / nails, provide 14 g of complete protein per serving with only 4 g of carbs, and promote overall well-being.
Where to Find It
Tight Curves retails for about $50/packet and is available through Bodywell Nutrition a variety of online retailers, and brick-and-mortar stores GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe, Supplements Plus, and Max Muscle Sports Nutrition. Click for a complete list of retailers.
Kristen’s Opinion
I love the product, but whoever designed the phusical package should be taken out back and shot. There is no physical way to scoop the powder out using the provided scooper without getting the power all over your scooping hand. Pain. In. The. Butt. It looks nice, but seriously, usability, people!
Once I poured the protein powder into a new container, I loved the berry flavor and found that it mixed quickly and smoothly with my beverage of choice, 1% milk. It’s also good with water, but I like milk better. Also nice is to do it in the blender with a banana and a few ice cubes to make a smoothie. Just remember that anything you add ubcreases the original 105 calorie count. I wish there was more than the under 1 g of fiber in it, but otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing. It tastes just like a strawberry milkshake, and it made me feel full for hours afteward.
Who Will Love It
If you loved Strawberry Quik as a kid and want a low-cal, high-protein supplement or snack to get you through the day, you’ll love Tight Curves. Buy it on sale, though. The $50 is a little steep if you ask me, but it does seem competitive with similar mid- and high-end protein supplements, so maybe I’m just cheap.
