Product Review: Using pzizz To Treat Sleep Problems And Increase Energy

A while back I was approached about a new product designed to help treat sleep problems and increase energy. This product is called pzizz (don’t worry – I can’t pronounce it, either), and according to the pzizz Web site,

This revolutionary insomnia treatment enables you to sleep better by stopping the nightly struggle. It also helps you increase energy levels during the day with unique power naps or performance breaks.

Simply put, pzizz creates audio soundtracks to help you clear your mind, relax, and boost your energy through the day as well as fall asleep more easily and soundly throughout the night. pzizz works with both PCs and Macs, and you can also export your soundtracks to iTunes to use on your mp3 player (which is a great choice for folks who can’t nap or sleep in the same rooms their computers are in!).

(And that is very simply put, indeed, as pzizz incorporates a lot of scientific stuff such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), brainwave patterns, binaural beats – you see, it’s not just about peaceful music that helps you rest.)

The folks at pzizz recommend using the program four or five times for at least 20 minutes each time before making a decision. I used both of the program’s modules (the pzizz energizer module and the pzizz sleep module) a few times each for various lengths of time.

Read on for my thoughts!

The pzizz Energizer Module:

I tried the pzizz energizer module first, for 20 minutes. The first time I used it, it wasn’t too effective; however, various reasons unrelated to pzizz went into making it ineffective: I was already quite wired that day having taken in too much caffeine; I kept taking mental notes about the experience as well as listening to the voice that talked almost the entire time (thus not really allowing myself to experience the experience); and I was fairly sleep deprived that day as I hadn’t gotten much sleep the night before – so, when the “power nap” was over, all I wanted to do was stay in bed and sleep.

It soon became clear, though, that pzizz does start working better the more you use it. For example, the second time I used the pzizz energizer module (again, for 20 minutes), I woke up feeling refreshed. My head was clear, and I had energy. I was also able to regain and maintain focus on my work. I was actually still feeling the positive effects of the pzizz energizer module for several hours after using it.

(This is really saying something, considering I’m the kind of person who can’t really “nap” during the day. When I hop in the bed for a “nap,” I’m usually out for a couple of hours at least. Then, when I do finally wake up, it takes a few hours for me to become alert.)

The more familiar I became with the pzizz energizer module, the more familiar I became with how I could make it best work for me. For example, I tweaked the settings so that the voice only talked at the beginning and end (effectively coaxing me into relaxation and then waking me up). I also realized the pzizz energizer module works best for me when I used it according to a schedule – a certain time each day.

The pzizz Sleep Module:

It’s kind of hard for me to give an accurate review of the pzizz sleep module because I’m in the nasty habit (and have been for several months) of staying awake until I absolutely can’t stand it anymore, rather than having a regular bedtime. Because of this habit, I usually fall asleep fairly quickly, and stay asleep until my body and mind are both ready to get out of bed. (Thank God I work from home!) So, it’s a bit tricky to determine whether or not the pzizz sleep module actually helped me fall asleep and get good, restful sleep.

However, one thing I can say with confidence about the pzizz sleep module is that it helped me clear my mind once my head hit the pillow. Rather than think about random thoughts until I fell asleep, my mind focused on the music. Both my body and mind relaxed more quickly on nights when I used the pzizz sleep module than on nights when I didn’t.

Will I Use pzizz Again?

Yes. I’ll probably continue to use pzizz for a long time, and I even hope it helps me establish a better bedtime routine at night.

For more information about pzizz, visit the official pzizz Web site. You’ll find information on how the product works and reviews, as well as how you can purchase pzizz.
