Product testing – June Tailor “Soft ‘N Stretchy” transfer paper

I decided to make my hubby a custom t-shirt for his birthday, so I decided to try out a new product and see how it worked. There was one little problem – he prefers dark t-shirts and most ink jet transfer products are meant for use on white fabric.
I picked up a pack of June Tailor’s “Soft ‘N Stretchy” ink jet transfer paper for dark, stretchy fabrics at my local craft store.

Any time you’re printing on transfer sheets or printer fabric – read the instructions! Different printers have different settings (the printer I was using actually has an iron-on paper setting). Set your printer settings or properties to the levels recommended in the instructions.
The instructions recommend you let the paper dry for a minimum of 30 minutes after printing, but I ended up having to wait overnight.
Once again – check the instructions before you iron on the transfer! You can’t use an ironing board with this transfer – you actually need a hard surface, like a piece of wood.
I carefully trimmed the transfers, ironed them on – and they look great!
In fact… I now have three requests for Christmas presents for more t-shirts
