As some of you may have already heard, Pure Weight Loss (Formerly L.A. Weight Loss) shut its door and shut out its customers recently. A fellow b5 blogger has been covering it and has recently posted some former customer and employers comments on the recent abrupt shut-out. Here is a short excerpt of a customers comment. Click the link towards the bottom to go to franchisepick.com and read the full post with other links to other Pure Weight Loss shut down posts.
“mommyjoe, customer: I have been a customer since April and have had GREAT SUCCESS on this program…I can’t afford to lose the money I’ve pre-paid, but it’s much worse to lose the program and the support I’ve been promised….”

This is crazy!! I don’t see how a company can require pre-payment then up and close on you with out any notice!! I loved their program and had re-upped, I honestly would be happy if I could get all the product I had also paid for. Now I can’t even reach them. Any advice? Mayb a phone number that actually works? Who can afford to lose all that? I couldn’t afford the program really, but it works!! Now what? I would love any helpful comments on reaching them. (if anyone has had better luck LMAO!)
Thanks,
Angel
I am also a victim of the unprofessionalism. Can we get a class action started? Anyone interested?
I am extremely interested in a class action lawsuit. I filled out their stupid refund application form and sent it certified mail but that was returned today as undeliverable. Apparently that was a scam too.
Give it some time, I’m sure something will surface and a lawsuit or settlement will come about.
Yes, people we have been screwed by Pure Weight Loss, LA Weight Loss and we should all start action against these bastards who are probably tanning their asses somewhere in the Carribbean with OUR MONEY!!! Can’t believe they slammed the doors on us and on our hard earned money. Our places here in Connecticut did the same bloody thing. Closed their doors and did not tell us they were closing!!!! I am out over $2000.00 dollars. I want my money back! I will do what I have to do to get into a Class Action Suit. Anyone want to join me?
Don’t believe the refund form. They just deep six them. No one will acknowledge those things……it is again another form of scamming us.
Every state’s Attorney General should be notified.
