PureVia: an all-natural zero calorie sweetener

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the stevia plant, but I know I hadn’t. Then I was asked if I’d like to try a brand new sweetener, made from this plant that is zero calorie, suitable for diabetics, certified kosher, and gluten-free. Well, sure, why not?

The sweetener derived from stevia is about twice as sweet as cane sugar, so the little sticks that it comes in are the equivalent of two teaspoons of sugar. You can sprinkle in onto cereal or into your drinks. I’ve tried it in my hot tea, and while I still probably prefer the taste of honey (with all the calories!), it certainly seems comparable to cane sugar to my taste buds. No chemical aftertaste, thank you :-)

PureVia is coming to grocery and mass merchandise stores, and will be available in the sweetener aisle. It comes in 40- and 80- stick cartons at this time.

From the Whole Earth Sweetener Company comes PureVia™, the all-natural, zero-calorie sweetener that tastes great.

After the dried stevia leaves have been milled, we use a freshwater brewing method to unlock the natural sweeteners, including the sweetest extract of the plant—Reb A. After it’s purified, we blend Reb A with all-natural flavors and other natural ingredients to give PureVia™ a rounded sweet taste and then follow our own recipe to offer you the authentic granular texture of sugar, only sweeter.

The result is PureVia™—the perfectly natural and naturally pure way for you to enjoy the ultimate sweet experience without all the calories.

I tried Purevia and though it was okay bet then I found Stevia Extract in the Raw which is I found better. It was less expensive and did not have Erythritol in it. Check it out at http://www.steviaextractintheraw.com.
