Purrfect Pet Halloween Costume Ideas

I cannot concentrate with that picture in front of me. Is that not one of the cutest puppies you’ve ever seen?
Anyway, that comes from PetFinder.com, who has a lot of really cute pictures of some of their members’ pets posted, as well as a lot of really cute pet dress-up ideas for Halloween — most of them you don’t even need to spend money on. For example:
1. Beauty School Drop Out: Dig under your vanity for your old-school rollers and shower cap, and go to town. If you have an extra calm cat or dog, paint their nails for a special effect. You may already have a “Miss Priss” pet, and now she’ll live up to her name.
2. Leader of the Geek Squad: Do you still have your father’s old, thick glasses? Throw on a plaid bow tie, and your nerdy pet will be the life of the party. (I recommend popping the lenses out of the glasses first!)
3. Sun-Bathing Beach Bum: You may not be able to fit into that itty bitty yellow, polka dot bikini, but your puppy will! Toss on a floppy hat if she’ll wear it, and use a straw beach bag for trick-or-treating. This cute costume will definitely earn some candy.
4. John Lennon, Ringo and the Gang: If you don’t have a brown toupé in your dresser drawer, this funny outfit would be worth a few dollars. For multiple pets, what better group costume is there than the Beatles? Parade them around and they’re sure to get some groupies.
5. Fido, the Friendly Ghost: Who says the ghost costume is overdone? It’s the perfect last-minute outfit for your pet. Just a couple of holes in an old pillow case, and your pooch will be the spookiest, but friendliest, pet on the block.
Are you going to dress up your pet(s) for Halloween?

That CAT one is priceless! Oh man. Pissed off kitty
The puppy is SO cute! Cool ideas
I wish my cats would sit still long enough for me to dress them up, but they won’t! Kudos to all the pets and their humans who do!
We have a 100-pound black lab. My son wants to dress him up like Batman, but our trusty dog would rip it to shreads in seconds. He’s not into costumes. Thanks!
Love the costumes!
WOW such a cute doggie and kitty. I love those pictures. I don’t think my dog would allow me to dress her up.
Oh, that first puppy picture is so WAAY cute, no wonder you can’t get anything done while looking at it! And that black cat? Hahaha!! That is one MAD cat!
We have two huge, black German Shepherds. They went trick or treating with us last year and frightened other parents and children just standing there wagging. I don’t think they need costumes.
Such cute ideas. I love the bumble bee dog!
I dress up my cat, Jinxy, but she can’t go outside. She waits by the door for visitors on Halloween night!
nice giveaway

That first one is a BALL OF FUZZ AND WIN!
I don’t think that my dog would cooperate!
I’m 4 dogs no matter what
Oh my goodness the puppy is to cute!
Our cats are Devon Rexes (one with very short curly hair, the other with little hair at all — both with very big eyes and ears and short noses) — so I feel they’re funny/cute enough looking as it is. hehehe
very cute! i wonder if i can get my 6 cats to sit still for a costume photo opp??
Blogtoberfest is Great! Thank you!

That little puppy has got to be the cutest thing i’v ever seen.I wonder what breed of dog is it?
My pet loves her costumes, she prances around so everyone will see her.
I know my dog wouldn’t wear a costume.
so cute, my golden Lincoln loved to dress up, that meant he was going out…he would even bring me his clothes..
Oh how I miss that dog!
If I did that to my cat, he would wait until I fell asleep and bite my nose. But it WOULD be cute.
Love the pets dressed up in those very cute costumes..
ever since my girl dog had to have her period to get rid of an icky infection, and we put her panties on her, she has LOVED to put clothes on. I don’t do it much, but it is funny.
Never dressed either up though.

would be fun with a dog but hard to dress up my cat.

that puppy is adorable
Awww the puppy and kitty are so adorable! We’ve tried dressing up one of our cats- she loves the cape, but not the princess hat. I have yet to try and dress up our puppy!
That puppy could be the cutest I have ever seen…and the kitty looks like she/he is ready to hurt someone for humiliating her! Great pics.
This reminds me of dressing up my kids in doll clothes when I was a little kid. The cats hated my siblings and I for doing it.
That puppy is so adorable it literally took my breath away! The cat, on the other hand, is not so amused. Thanks for the great contest!
The puppy is too adorable! Thanks for sharing.

Adorable animals – have a lucky day@
I’m not planning to dress up any of mine – nobody else would see them anyway.
Too adorable! The 2nd picture (cat) looks exactly like one of my cats. I dress him up for Halloween and the look on his face is always priceless (read: grumpy). Luckily, all my animals know that I love them and they’re a big part of our family – especially to let me get away with humiliating them with the costumes in front of their siblings, lol. Thanks for sharing!
What kind of a costume can you put on a chicken?
