Putting it all into perspective
Someone said earlier that I had an infectious optimism otherwise known as the Pollyanna principle. How I could remain so positive with all that has been going on this week?
As the days roll by, the chaos grows deeper – today we discovered there’s some pretty intense structural damage to the basement walls. The bright side is, my county has been declared a state of emergency due to the recent flash flooding here in Indiana. Hopefully funding will be there to help us do the repairs necessary to save our home.
I can’t think of a better way to explain just how I can remain optimistic through all that’s going on then by actually showing you what I’ve seen and why I celebrate.
These photos are of Molly the day before she was diagnosed with Parvo. Keep in mind it got much worse with her having seizures and not being able to walk. These two photos were taken Wednesday morning.
Now, with the look like that, could I have made any other decision then to sign for treatment? Could you look at that face and sign for having her put down?
I am so glad I made the decision I did, because this photo was taken yesterday – only three days later!
This is Miss Molly at 100% recovery modeling her new little sundress while trying to climb on my son Coty.
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! It worked!
As I’ve said, when I see what Molly has been through and recovering from such a horrible virus at her tiny weight of 2 pounds, I think I can do just about anything – so long as she is happy and healthy along with the rest of my kids.
What a difference a few days can make.
I really want to thank the awesome folks at VCA Northwood Animal Hospital for taking such good care of Molly. It truly is one of the best facilities I’ve ever seen.
This Pollyanna post dedicated to Kelly

Thanks Gayla, she’s adorable! Can you see me smiling from there?
oh she’s so cute Gayla.
Because of you I’ve been talking nonstop about getting a dog, looks like I’m almost there.
Oh, Parvo is terrible. Thank goodness she’s okay, I didn’t know they recovered from that.
I’m glad Molly is recovering well.
YAY! She looks so much better in the bottom pic. It is so scary to see a loved one suffer…furry or not
