Quick Tip: early holiday gift organizing

It’s early, I know, but you can start getting organized for the holidays now. Make a simple Word document on your computer, or even start a paper (gasp) list. When people start talking about the holidays, and you know they will, jot down quickly what a specific person says that want or need. Keep your ears open, and your gifts-to-give list will be easily completed BEFORE the holiday shopping season hits.

If you’re extra lucky, maybe you can even hit the stores or shop online before major shopping madness starts up. Then you can sit back, pat yourself on the back, and sip hot cocoa, while your friends and family have to scurry around at the last minute. Try not to feel too guilty.

I have a gift list I print out every January. One for birthday presents and one for Christmas! I put the name of the person, ideas for gift, gift actually bought and amount spent. There is also a column of what item I bought them last year. I keep these in my purse so that all year I can be working on them! My favorite part is checking them off one by one as they get completed. I also have a special spot in my closet to store these presents from my list!

Wow, you’re super gift organized – it’s a good point to have space in which to store extra gifts, or things could get a little out of control.
