Quick tip: one step salad storage

ekco salad spinnerYou can keep lettuce in the produce bin, then us your spinner to wash it, then find a new container for it, OR you can just wash your lettuce in the salad spinner, and let it live there.

Downside – if you wash lots of items in your spinner this plan won’t help you.

Upsides – only one container, you’re more likely to eat a salad if the darn lettuce is washed and ready, and it actually will keep your lettuce fresh for about a week (I’ve done it).

  1. Genius! Thanks for sharing this tip. Obvious to you, never would have dreamed it up myself, thrilled.

Once in a while I do have a genius break-through. I like this tip, because I am WAY more likely to make salad, if it’s already pre-ready. I like just tossing stuff together.
