In the post, Quilts for a Gallery Showing, I described how my daughter and her Fiber Diva friends were setting up a display of their quilts and fiber art at the Gilford (NH) Public Library. She received word today that the showing was so well received the local newspaper wanted to interview members of the group and do a story.
You never know where displays and festivals will lead. You never know who will see your work and want to contact you. You never know what sales will result.

So don’t be reluctant to display your work and get it into shows. By working with a group, none of the Fiber Divas had to do the entire show on their own…set up, grand opening (whenever there is one), meeting the public. However, their collective endeavors have begun to be recognized. From there each can branch out on her own, if desired. They already have another local display planned for January. Also, they’ve been asked to extend the display at the library another month!
