Quilt Block Swaps

Many of you probably have been involved in quilt block swaps with quilting friends who gather in your neighborhood or ones you know online or through the mail.  Trading blocks on various themes can be a great deal of fun.

My daughter does many of these, both with her local fiber arts group and online groups.  The suggestions for many of these blocks call upon a great deal of creativity and venturing into new directions.

I recently saw a quilt from a School House Block Swap at Harmany Quilting by Nicola.  She has combined blocks she received in the swap with floral designs.  This is a very striking quilt.
