Quilt Care Lessons

I recently finished the Quilt Care Course offered at no cost by quilter Nancy Kirk at www.kirkcollection.com.  Even though I’d read up on quilt care and preservation before, I learned some neat tips from Nancy.

*Do you know that wood can damage quilts?  Don’t hang or display them where they will touch wood, Nancy advises.

*There’s a “blue wool” patch, Nancy tells us, that may be purchased from museum supply houses to show how light is affecting quilts a display, even if it’s simply one quilt on a living room wall.

Nancy gives many care and display tips that you’ll find very useful.  You may want to check out her course, sent to you via e-mail.  Nancy also teaches classes and writes about quilt care and related topics.
