Quorn Chik’n Nuggets Review

I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best as I placed the Quorn chik’n nuggets in my shopping basket. I found them in my grocery store’s organic foods aisle. In case you haven’t guessed yet, they aren’t really chicken nuggets! Yet, they are a darn good imitation.

If you’re a vegetarian, or just someone who’s looking to eat less meat, Quorn chik’n nuggets are really worth trying. I bought one box and it was enough for two people. The nuggets aren’t small, and they certainly are crispy. They have great flavor without being too spicy or mushy tasting. There was no mush at all! And they were great with a bit of homemade honey-mustard sauce I whipped up.
What’s up with the Quorn chik’n nuggets?
- Meatless and soy-free, yet high in protein
- All natural ingredients
- 45% less fat than your typical nugget
- Feature mycoprotein, a fungi
According to quorn.com, they’re the best-selling frozen meat-free brand in natural food stores. Launched in the US in 2002, Quorn has been around in the UK since 1985. And I can see why. I liked these chik’n nuggets much better than anything I’ve tried from Boca, or any other meatless brand. Yet, if you’re allergic to eggs, milk or wheat, you’ll need to avoid this product.
Have you tried any other Quorn product?
