Rachael Ray’s NY Burger Bash a Big Hit

Gothamist writer Laren Spirer was able to take some pix and chow down on some burgers during Rachael Ray’s Friday Night Burger Bash at the New York Food and Wine Festival. 

The winner of the night was Katie Lee Joel with her grilled cheese.  Yes, the burger winner was the one with no meat.  Well, some say that there was some sort of meat in there, but it resembled more of a patty melt than a burger.  Of course, now it sounds like an episode of Top Chef, hashing out the fine lines of what defines what a burger truly is.  Maybe this was payback for Joel getting the Top Chef boot…Tom Colicchio was a contestant. 

According to Grub Street he may have been a little off that night.  Colicchio was nervous about playing with his band later on that night.  Who knew that Tom played the guitar and sang!  Just so you know, there is visual confirmation on the Grub Street Slideshow.
