Multiple sclerosis is a disease that tends to strike people in more northern countries, like Canada and the northern parts of the United States, than in warmer sunnier countries. Researchers aren’t quite sure why yet, but it is an interesting finding.
MS also strikes more women then men and lately, there has been a movement to naming it an autoimmune disease, as well as a neurological disease.
Last September, a neurologist and MS specialist from the Ottawa Hospital, in Ottawa, Canada, spoke on a Montreal radio show and discussed MS. Click on the radio below to hear it. The first few moments of the radio show are taken up with a usual weekly discussion with the radio host and then the MS show takes over.
