Also you wouldn't even have to rip the pages out which is good because I freecycle my magazines when I am done and I hate the idea of giving someone a magazine with missing pages. Once my subscriptions run out though I'm not going to renew and if I want to look at magazines I'm going to make myself go to the library. But instead of filing the paper copy, I scan them into PDF files on my computer, and throw away the original. This way my office has less storage clutter.
