Ready for Summer Wine Tasting
Okay, the Lifestyles Channel is having a run on summer-themed posts today, and it got me to thinking. I’m in the middle of a long stretch of working extra days and late nights and fitting the blog in the times between. By the time that’s over, my family will be here to visit…which will be fun and most likely exhausting. All this will lead to the need for a little wine tasting getaway.
Now I just need to decide the destination.
Places I’ve been and am not in any hurry to return: Napa, lower Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, East Bay urban winetasting (too close to home), Santa Barbara (way too far)
Places I’ve already been but would be willing to revisit: Paso Robles, Anderson Valley, Monterey, Russian River Valley, Livermore, Calaveras
Places still on the list to explore: Amador, Dry Creek Valley, Santa Lucia Highlands, San Luis Obispo (might be too far for a shortish trip), maybe Lake County
Any advice one way or another?

Paso Robles for sure!! Go to Grey Wolf Cellars, my personal favorite
I second the Dry Creek area – I really enjoy that area plus the Russian River and the Anderson Valley.
Or you can make a trip to Virginia Wine Country. haha – definitely not a day trip though.
