Recycled Skirts from ShabbyKnapsack

October 20, 2008 by Peggy Rowland

lizzy-originals.JPEGNoreen from Hankering for Yarn told me about her fabulous re-fashioned swirlie skirt by Lizzy Originals at ShabbyKnapsack.com.

If you live in the wonderful city that’s Portland, OR, you can go see these skirts for yourself at the Portland Saturday Market. If not, just gaze upon them online! And buy perhaps.

Lizzy’s skirts are made from 95% recycled fabrics.

They are also handmade, of course. What’s available? Wrap pants, wrap skirts, sweater wraps, and the list goes on.

Do you own any swirly skirts from upcycled materials?

  1. Hi Peggy
I absolutely love my upcycled swirlie skirt…. Lizzie has done a great job in putting together really neat garments from reclaimed clothing.
    Hurrah for creativity!

I just bought my second skirt from her today. She makes the most wonderful things and I love how she uses certain parts to creat fun style elements to the skirts with pockets and buttons.
