Recycling in Manila

In a forwarded email that I have received just recently, it stated that Ayala, one of the largest companies in the Philippines, would be holding a recycling event. Read on to learn about this:
Schedules and Venues:
June 6, 1st fridays – Paseo de Magallanes, Makati City (beside Honda)
June 13, 2nd fridays – Goldcrest Parking Lot, Glorietta Complex, Makati City (behind restaurant row)
June 20, 3rd fridays – Alabang Town Center parking lot, Muntinlupa City (in front of St. Jerome’s Church)
June 27, 4th fridays – TriNoma Open Carpark, Quezon City (North Ave. cor. EDSA)You may sell/dispose the following items:
- Used lead acid batteries: Genset, UPS and motor batteries
- E-waste: non-working electronic and electrical appliances, VHS, betamax, and cassette tapes, obsolete CPUs and monitors
- Paper waste: used paper, old newspapers, cartons, magazines, obsolete books, posters
- Plastic and Metal waste: bottles, containers, sando bags, plastic furniture, aluminum cans, tin cans and other metals
- Printer cartridges: toners and ink cartridges
- For proper disposal only: Tarpaulin streamers, household batteries, Polystyrene packaging, mobile phones, batteries and chargers, Tetra Pak cartons
