Reuter’s Reporter Taking Heat From Parents

The recent report about autism, that I covered in the last blog entry, has inflamed the autism community again. It isn’t just the report that has upset parents, but the reporter herself. Reporter Maggie Fox is being accused of taking the easy way out and not investigating the story. Issues about conflict of interest when reporting on pharmaceutical and medical stories are also being raised.
It is a dicey and uncomfortable situation all the way around. And it is just dividing the autism community further. Once again, parents are left wondering what the truth about autism really is.
