I recently munched on both Special K Multi-Grain Crackers and Special K Italian Tomato & Herb Crackers, sent to me for review.
I really liked one, and disliked the other. I’ll get to that in a few seconds.
But first, here are some quick details about these new crackers:
• Each 17-cracker serving has 90 calories, 8 grams of whole grains, 1 gram of fiber and 0 saturated and trans fat
• Have a crunch which many women tend to crave in afternoon snacks. (Healthy option instead of chips.)
• Can be used as part of the Special K Challenge
Both varieties are small, square and crunchy. As for the taste, I much prefer the Multi-Grain variety. It leaves a nice flavor in your mouth, perhaps a hint of honey. They also taste great with a healthier cheese spread like Light Laughing Cow.
As for the Special K Italian Tomato & Herb variety, I just didn’t like them as a stand-alone snack for myself. They tasted too much like tomato soup for me. Very savory. However, if you’re looking for a tomato-flavor cracker to have with soup, here you go!
Have you tried the new Special K crackers for afternoon snacks?
