Review: Witch Hazel-Rose Petal

In the last few years, my skin has changed a lot. I’ve had some medical issues, and one of the treatments dried my skin out like you wouldn’t believe. My sister suggested I try alcohol-free Witch Hazel to use as a toner. The trick is finding it without alcohol. Many products says they are alcohol free, and yet if you read the package they have alcohol in it!

But I found this brand by Thayers and have to say that the stuff is fabulous. It comes in a 11.5 oz bottle, and I paid just over $11 for it. When used as a toner, it really makes your skin soft and smells great too. Just put some on a cotton ball after you wash your face. Rub it all over your face, and then give it a few minutes to dry. Then add your moisturizer after that. I’ve noticed a big improvement since I’ve started using it.

Don’t be afraid if a product contains cetearyl or cetyl alcohol, as these are not bad alcohols. They’re actually moisturizers. Bad alcohols you should avoid are: alcohol, alcohol denat., isopropyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, alcohol SD.
