Revisting a Special Moment

Revisiting a Special Moment

In this blog many of the journal writing prompts and challenges are about revisiting moments in our lives, special or not so special. Think about one of those special moments. Search for a moment so good you’d give anything to experience it all over again. Now write about that moment. Spend time going over the details of that experience. Try to define the emotions you lived through at that time. Enliven your senses by writing about the minute details of the event, the usual smell, sound, etc, but don’t forget a sense of time and where you were, outside or inside. Can you possibly repeat this moment? Why or why not? Would you want to?

Spend time with these ideas in your journal today. I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below. Today if you do leave comments you may win a prize.

I could say giving birth to my daughter… that was THE most special moment of my life, but would I want to relive it? Not sure sure. It kinda hurt. So I’d instead say, the first time I kissed my last boyfriend. We’d been friends for years but there was always something there. Such a build up to that moment, and it was more than we’d ever imagined. Such sparks!

This is such a good writing prompt. I think that writing prompts can make writing much easier, allowing the writer to go to places that they may not have every envisioned. Writing prompts have enabled me to write really fascinating stories. Thank you.
