Revisting a Special Moment

In this blog many of the journal writing prompts and challenges are about revisiting moments in our lives, special or not so special. Think about one of those special moments. Search for a moment so good you’d give anything to experience it all over again. Now write about that moment. Spend time going over the details of that experience. Try to define the emotions you lived through at that time. Enliven your senses by writing about the minute details of the event, the usual smell, sound, etc, but don’t forget a sense of time and where you were, outside or inside. Can you possibly repeat this moment? Why or why not? Would you want to?
Spend time with these ideas in your journal today. I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below. Today if you do leave comments you may win a prize.

Thanks for the writing encouragement and giveaway!
I’d love a surprise
I think that the most special moment in my life is when I had grandchildren! Each one is so dear to me that I would surely have something to write about every day if I wrote a journal!
Thanks So Much for the Contest!
Wow a surprise please enter me! Journaling is important! Gives you something to leave behind! A Legacy!
I love to write, and have been enjoying my new blog as well as my old journal…thanks !
I think prompts are wonderful, because how often we all hit a writer’s block. I truly enjoy reading the results of prompts on blogs that give me a window into the person’s life. You find out how much you can or cannot relate to another through things like these.
Also, I have read some incredible blogs that enlivened my senses so much that the next time I did the mundane activity they mentioned, instead of dreading it, I was looking for the deeper sense of its reality in my life.
Oh I love surprises, thank you for the giveaway,
I love to keep a journal going, but I slip sometimes, and miss days here and there, but I think it’s a helpfull tool to get you emotions out, becuase we can’t always do that by communicating.
interesting writing prompt today, Yes, I’d definitely love to repeat today, when I’m happy I’m blast my stereo and sing along at the top of my lungs and that’s just what I did today!
I have a journal. It is packed away…only because EVERYTHING I own is….yes, I am in the middle of moving and when I get my book out I am definitely adding some thoughts about this move…..
Thank you for the great blog and contest!
Thanks for giving me the little nudge I need to get back to writing in my journal.

i dont really blog/diary but my best mermorie is carrying my son to term, ive had 2 miscarriages and carrying him almost killed me and the labor almost did too, id do it a million times again to be blessed with my son who just turned 10
I am not sure which blog to reply to so am coving my bases by commenting in both.
We do that a different way, we go around the table at night and talk about our special moments. Putting it in a journal is a great idea as we could go back and remember it.
With the business of kids, school, work, and home I often don’t even take the time to assess the days activities let alone Journal. My daughter is starting a journal and I have wondered if that would be useful/therapeutic for me as well. I know my moments are not daily and are not always SPECTACULAR but they are mine and they are easier to own when remembered thoroughly. Thanks for the idea, and opportunity to rethink this as an adult option.
We’ve actually been doing a similar assignment in our homeschool this past week. Making memory lists, and writing about our feelings in regards to them. A lot of fun to reminisce. Thanks for the chance to win a prize!
Please enter my name in your contest. Thanks so much!
Thankyou for the wise comments on journal writting. I write in a journal everyday(at least I try to) And it helps to see moments written down.
I used to journal, but I got out of the habit. Your writing prompts are making me think about getting back into it.
What a wonderful idea.
i want to win
PLEASE COUNT ME IN ON THIS AWESOME GIVEAWAY
Very interesting prompt. When I’m feeling depressed or overwhelmed I do try to close my eyes, breathe in deeply, and take a fresh look around me. I’m always surprised how beautiful the clouds and leaves are. I try to repeat that experiance as much as I can because it helps me refocus my priorities.
Gotta Love a Surprise. Thanks
Hopefully the best moment of my life is the next one, Thank you.
I love surprises.
Thanks for the ideas.
I would love to win the surprise gift.
The happy moments make me remember that sometimes good things do happen

I have a hard time keeping a journal..I alway forget about it.
unlike the other poster who would not want to relive giving birth due to the pain, I on the other hand would love the chance to feel the pain of giving birth that indicated to me that with that pain a new life was entering this world that I, with the help of My Creator, brought into being..
It’s been ages since I kept a journal.
I lost both of my parents in under 3 years, and my only sibling 12 years ago, and sometimes either when I’m feeling sad, or remembering the good times and happy memories, I write them down in a special notebook. This is my way of keeping emotionally in touch with my past and the memories, whether happy or sad.
i love surprises!
Exciting and terrifying. haha. Thanks!
Great prompt. Especially for those like me – mother of a young toddler who has sadly neglected my writing.
i love surprises
Cool, thanks for all the entries and for the lovely comments about this blog and/or this prompt. I really do appreciate them. I’ll be drawing the prize some time soon and will most likely announce the winner in an entry tomorrow, where there will be another prize on offer. So, stay tuned.
