Robert Irvine Reclaims “Dinner Impossible”

'Ratatouille' Celebration At Social Hollywood - Arrivals

I think this is good news!

I like Michael Symon, but I liked Robert Irvine as well and was bummed when it was discovered he had fudged his credentials (part of which he claimed having helped with Prince Charles’ and Lady Diana’s wedding cake!) and was ultimately canned from “Dinner Impossible.”

Food Network turned to new Iron Chef America chef Michael Symon to take over the show, but fans were not happy with that and apparently launched a campaign to bring Robert back — and it worked!

I agree that this is good news! The show lent itself much more to Robert Irvine’s personality than Michael Symon’s. I’m glad the controversy is over.

  2. gYPSY says:

Well, Symon was interesting but I think he was out of his league with Dinner Impossible. He’s more of the Iron Chef type. Irvine is obviousy a good chef, a good host, and a well built fellow to boot!

  3. Heather says:

Hillary – I agree. I like them both but I think Irvine’s got the personality for the show.

Gypsy – definitely! I’m amazed every time I see Irvine’s biceps!

I was so irritated when they put in that sweaty hog Michael Symon. No class at all! How he even became Iron Chef is beyond me. I think the management at Food Network were smoking some of their condiments when they chose him! Long live the true Dinner Impossible! Robert Irvine!

YEA!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!! I JUST LOVE THIS, I KNEW IT!!! I KNEW HE WOULD COME OUT ON TOP!!! HE IS THE4 BEST, ALONG WITH MY OWN CHEF. NO ONE CAN TOP THESE TWO!!! WHAT A GREAT DAY!! GOD HAS GRANTED THEM TALENT AND THEY USE IT!!

  6. Sarah says:

YES! I love this guy! I think he MADE the show.

I bet the ratings tanked when they put Chef Symon on here. FoodNetwork was like, “We need Chef Irvine back!”

    He is the best.

  7. Robert is the best know one will be able to a better job

  8. Salmoe Nella says:

Michael Symon is a hack and a douchebag. He has this freaking annoying laugh that sounds like a gay Hyena. I don’t know why Food Network chose him over some of the better chefs on The Next Iron Chef such as John Besh and Traci Des Jardin; John Besh was more qualified and better suited for TV. You could tell on TV that Micahael Symon’s food and the way he cooks are not good whether it was on Iron Chef or on Dinner:Impossible. I had the unfortunate chance to eat at ‘Lola’s Chicago’ and the food was horrid.

I am glad Robert Irvine is back. He is better suited for Dinner: Impossible. The BIO controversy was Food Network’s problem because they did not do their due diligence. Besides, if they could hire people or hacks such as Guy Fieri and Michael Symon, they can take a chance on Robert Irvine, whom I believe is the best chef/cook compared to Fieri and Symon.

    Good Luck Robert!!!

Food Network: Fire Symon, he is not an Iron Chef material. Guy Fieri is a douchebag as well.

  9. John says:

I don’t care how good he is on the show, this only confirms once again that there are no consequences for ones actions in the entertainment field. It only encourages people to lie, cheat, whatever it takes to get ahead. If he was really a good chef he could have gotten another job based on what he can really do, not what a show chooses to edit out to make someone look good.

By the way, if someone wants to hire me for a few million dollars a year, just let me know what you are looking for and I’ll craft a resume that makes me the person for the job.

  10. Tina says:

I must respectfully disagree. I can’t stand the guy and think he’s a complete wanker. He makes me want to punch him in the mouth. I won’t be watching.

To each his own, I guess.

  11. Debra D says:

It’s about time! I quit watching when Michael Symon took over. Robert Irvine WAS the show. I think Food Network over-reacted by firing him. At least they’ve come to their senses and brought him back!!
