While going through my files this morning it seems to me that you all are searching for more Christmas information on Russia…am I right? Well, I did some more work for you and found these absolutely fabulous Christmas Stockings for you to make this weekend, just in time for Ded Maroz!

Adorn Magazine has the Template (and it is where I got the instructions as well so you can print everything there if you want).

YOU’LL NEED:
• 1/3 yd. 60″-wide felt in red and ecru for the larger stocking or red and orange for the smaller stocking
• One 12″ square felt each in ecru, black, fuchsia, light green, and dark green
• 1/4 yd. 17″-wide Pellon Wonder Under fusible web (for each)
• DMC six strand embroidery floss in red, light green, dark green, and ecru
• Rocaille beads in gold and red
• Photocopier
• Fabric scissors
• Pinking shears
• Scallop shears or rotary cutter with scalloped blade and mat (optional)
• Embroidery, beading, and sewing needles
• Straight pins
• Sewing machine with red thread

Skill Level: Intermediate
Cutting stockings: (For each stocking) Download template and enlarge 400%. If you are making the smaller stocking, cut off the top at the dotted line and use the edging details below it. If you are making the larger stocking, use the edging details above the dotted line and ignore the stripes below it. To cut out stocking front, cut around the inside outline using pinking shears (orange for smaller stocking and red for larger). For the smaller stocking, cut stocking back from red using pinking shears. For the larger stocking, cut the back from ecru felt using scallop shears or rotary with a rotary mat. Scallops can also be cut freehand.

Cutting and fusing designs: Trace doll outline onto paper side of fusible web. Trim fusible web to 1/2″ around the outline. Fuse onto ecru felt and cut out. Remove paper backing. With web side face down, fuse shape onto stocking front as shown. Trace each detail of doll onto paper side of web, fuse to corresponding felt color, and fuse to doll shape.

Trims: Cut ecru, dark green, and fuchsia striped details from felt using pinking shears or scallop shears as shown. Pin to top of stockings. Machine stitch as shown using red thread.

Embroidery: Using three strands of floss in needle, embroider details as shown.

Beading: Use beading needle to sew on rocailles where shown.

Assembly: Pin stocking front to back with the wrong sides facing, matching top edges and centering the top piece over the back. Sew front to back along sides and bottom using red thread 1/4″ inside the front edge.

I hate to be a pest, but is there just the one template of the whole stocking and not individual templates for the pieces?
