San Francisco’s Solar Billboard

The United States’ very first solar powered billboard can now be seen in the city of San Francisco. And Pacific Gas and Electric Company have been behind such a project. The company claims that this is part of their ad campaign dubbed “We Can Do This”.

The campaign is actually a way for them to inform the public about the environmentally friendly services that the company has currently introduced. As part of this the company’s senior VP for corporate relations, Greg Pruett, shares that they are still working on methods that would be able to reach out to consumers and help them understand what climate change is all about.

“With this solar-powered billboard — the nation’s first — we increase the amount of clean, renewable energy we provide our customers. We also hope to capture the imagination of Americans about the actionable steps one can take to reduce their environmental impact,” informs Pruett.
