Sandwich Generation Sitcom

tv.gifLibertyville is a TV sitcom pilot starring Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole about a divorced mother caught between a 22-year-old daughter and grumpy father.

The plan is for Lifetime to pick it up, but I just have one question: Why wasn’t I picked to star in it? I am, after all the Sandwich Generation Poster Child.

Oh sure, more comedy fodder when the younger end of the sandwich is a young adult, but, it sure would be more realistic if there were young children to take care of. How about the character take care of her father, 3 young children and maybe some pets, too?

I’ll be waiting by the phone, just in case.

I know! I’m right there with you on this. Try a 5 year old, 15 year old, 69 year old, two dogs and a cat! All who drive me nuts. I wish I had a laugh track! There are plenty of funny moments but I have a hard time imagining that they would show the woman changing both her mother’s/father’s diapers and her child’s diapers.
