Sarah Palin baby update – her daughter is pregnant

Occasionally, we talk about teen pregnancy here because there are health issues that are involved in teen pregnancies that older mothers may not have. These include the facts that teens are less likely to have access to prenatal care (by their choice or its availability), poorer nutritional habits, and other issues. Now, according to the New York Times, Republican vice-presidential candidates Sarah Palin’s 17-year-old daughter, Bristol Palin, is five months pregnant: To Rebut Rumors, Palin Says Daughter, 17, Pregnant
The report says that Bristol will keep the child and marry the child’s father. I can only wish them the best of luck. It’s not easy being a new mom, it’s certainly not easy being a new teen mom, and it’s even harder being a new teen mom whose mother is running for the second highest office in the United States.
