Satellite Dish Outhouse

Celtic Outhouse–it has stars ‘n’ stuff

Before I get to my weekend post, I want to call your attention to my sidebar.  Below everything else in the right column is a little poll I’ve started just to see which junk creator is everyone’s favorite–you can add one, if yours isn’t there.  I may even do an extra post as a biography or something on the winner.

Now, on to the weekend post.

Satellite dishes attached to outhouses would normally make me wonder how much time is too much time when doing your “business.”  The post I am linked to for this weekend has me grinning at someone’s creativity incorporating a satellite dish into their outhouse.

The post is from a blog called Nomadic Creations and a post entitled: Barefoot Builder in Woodbury, TN.  If you are looking for the original story, it is in the middle of the post, a couple of page scrolls down.

I don’t know what you thought when you saw the picture at the top of my post (borrowed from the Barefoot Builder post), but I thought–now there’s a different looking building!  Some sort of Faery Toadstool Outhouse?

I also like the fact that the grassy stuff on top of the outhouse isn’t just thatch, it’s actual sod, growing there year round.  If you want eco-friendly, you’ve got it–returning nitrates to the soil and cooling the interior with earth and grass at the same time.
