Save Time During the School Day Commute

If you have little kids who tend to have less complicated homework invest in something like the Alex Toys Car Valet:

This way the kids can start (and maybe even finish) their homework on the drive home, which of course saves time for family time, chores, dinner, and more once at home. Bonus, you’re right there to answer questions – just don’t get too distracted with math problems – sometimes math and driving don’t mix.

That would be great for vacations, too. Or for days when the kids are home from school sick. What a great idea.
I always had a small plastic box that my stepdaughter was allowed to decorate & put items in. She had books, toys, games, etc. She knew that if it didn’t fit in the box, she wasn’t allowed to take it in the car. It worked great when she was younger b/c I would ask before walking out the door if she had her car box. I could then ask her when we got home if she put everything back in the car box before we took it in the house. We didn’t leave it in the car due to the Florida heat melting things.
