Those of us who have migraines know that sometimes it’s the slightest thing that can set one off. The British Migraine Action Association in the United Kingdom has noticed that for some migraineurs, it’s the new compact fluorescent energy-efficient light bulbs that are the trigger.

This discussion just came up at work (surprise I work for a lighting company). The spiral bulbs don’t flicker – so if its the flickering itself that causes the migraines, these bulbs shouldn’t bother you.

It’s the standard CF lamps that flicker. Now if the reason is because of the low intensity….well I can’t help you there.
