Schedule your flu shots now

The flu season’s almost here, and it’s time for our flu shots, everybody.
I know… we don’t like thinking about this, but it’s good to be prepared, and schedule your children for flu shots.
I talked to my daughter’s pediatrician this morning and she said that it seems their office is not getting the number of shots they ordered, at least the infant flu vaccine or those for ‘under 3′. I’m not sure if it’s just in that clinic here in Maryland, and she did say they’re asking around why there’s not enough supply for them. But she reminded me to call as early as October 1, because it’s going to be a first come, first served for their clinic until more supply comes.
So, moms everywhere… I think we need to start calling our pediatricians and clinics and make sure your household gets the shots this year. With the avian flu lurking outside the US, I’d rather not take any chances.
