Have you checked out the new VH1 reality show Scott Baio is 45 . . . and Single?
Okay, if you’re married and you have a fight with your husband and you think, Maybe I could do better, watch this show to be reminded about the quality of man who is still out there. The bad kind. The kind who treats women as his toys and playthings rather than as fellow human beings worthy of love and respect.
This show should be titled Scott Baio is 45 and Deserves to Die Alone. My favorite line so far is the ex-girlfriend who tells him, You cheated on me so many times I got my first AIDS test. Or the coworker who reminds him that he would flip through Playboy on set as if it were a catalog and he just ordered up his next bunny. He himself, unapologetically, admits that it was just too easy for him to use women and move on when they gave him any flack for being an asshole. It’s apparent he’s totally amused by himself.
Here’s my advice to his girlfriend/fiance who is demanding a commitment – run for your life! This is not the type of man who makes a good husband. This is not the type of man you want to be committed to. This is not the type of man anyone wants to be committed to. Fiance, are you watching this crap? You did notice that he referred to marriage as synonymous to death and chose an attractive female to be his life coach rather than say, a 50-year-old man? When someone tells you who he is you should believe him.
I believe in redemption. But, Scott Baio doesn’t want to be redeemed he wants someone to save him from himself, but he obviously doesn’t have a soul. This is no spiritual awakening, this is pandering for fans in a dead career. It’s not even that amusing to watch, the best part about it is that it reminds married women that the grass back there in single land got peed on by a soulless Neanderthal who wants to screw you and never call you again.
What an ass! I never thought him cute, Ever. He is like the poor man’s Tony Danza.
Tracee- I totally agree. I stumbled upon this show while channel surfing and was totally appalled. Scott Baio makes himself look like (in the words of Phoebe Cates in Fast Times at Ridgemont High) a little pr–k.

I would’ve said, “the poor man’s Andy Garcia.”

I’m a guy and I agree with the ladies comments. Despite what he thinks of himself, he is a “has been” with a really twisted view on love. RUNNNNN. I too have a list of women from years before but I’m not proud of it and keep it to myself. Over 10 years ago I woke-up and discovered the value and risk of finding someone you really care about. This is a sad show about an empty man.
Scott Bio has a great life, lots of money, get any girl he wants, and lots of them. Wish he was me. LOL
Which is why you’d make a terrible husband too Jeff. That’s my point – Scott Bao wants to get MARRIED and he’s just not great husband material.
Let me rephrase one part of my comments….”this is a sad show about an empty BOY”… Jeff must be 16.

I AM FROM BAY RIDGE, I WAS THE GOOD GIRL…MOST OF THE TIME. i HAVE BEEN MARRIED 22 YEARS TO A MAN WHO I THOUGHT AFTER ALL THAT TIME I KNEW INSIDE AND OUT. THREE CHILDREN TWO AWAY AT COLEGE ONE MARRIED ON HER OWN. HE JUST DECIDED TO LET ME KNOW HE WAS IN LOVE WITH A 24 YEAR OLD CHILD, AND LEFT EVERYTHING. KIDS HOUSE(NICE BIG HOUSE TOO) NOT FAR FROM WHERE YOU COUSIN LIVED. COME HOME AND GIVE SOME HOMETOWN WOMAN A CHANCE. I HAVE NOT BEEN WITH ANYONE SINCE THE PIG LEFT. Why would you WANT another man exactly like your selfish ex-husband? It’s not a very good thing to wish for. Perhaps your own interests would be served by wanting a responsible, caring, loving, compassionate partner who loves you for you? Or maybe you could just spend a few years rediscovering how wonderful Kelley is.
Okay so the man is a pig… But I’ve seen woman do the same thing to men. Only difference is Scott is showing what so many men and women do in real life by being on tv. Scott is wrong in so many ways but I have to admit I love the show. I dont take it personally. In fact I tivo’d it and my boyfriend and I watched the entire series and just laughed. We just couldnt believe what would come out of his mouth that would leave our mouthes hitting the floor in amazement that someone could be so heartless and clueless. On the flip side… his sarcasim is beyone funny which is why we watch it.
