Scrappers Galore Design Team Call

We are looking for designers who will inspire our members and encourage visitors to participate in our community. Design team members will serve a six-month term and must be able to be a very active part of the Scrappers Galore community. You will be required to participate on our message board and gallery. This includes, but is not limited to, leaving comments in the gallery, being active in challenges, playing games with members, answering any questions posted by our members, participating in our online crops, etc. You are expected to check the design team forum daily.

DT members will also be asked to write a short article for the monthly newsletter. A rotation schedule will be set up by the DT Coordinator. You will also be creating two layouts, a card and an item of your choice as your monthly assignment. This may change and is up to the Design Team Coordinator.

Design team members will promote Scrappers Galore in signature lines (if permitted), publications, bios, sites, etc. If someone you know is looking for a particular product and we have it, give that person our link! There will be a Design Team blinkie and you are more than welcome to use that in your signature line.

So what will you get out of being on the Scrappers Galore design team? Well, you get to keep the products that are sent to you, AND you will also receive a 15% store discount on any purchases you make during your term as a design team member. Being a Design Team member is also a GREAT opportunity to promote yourself!

What you need to do:

The first stage is to send two layouts, a card and an altered item (not required, but would be nice), a short writing sample (250 words or less) and your answers to the following questions below.

Once we get all the entries in for the first stage, the admin staff and Design Team Coordinator will pick 10 entries. The 10 candidates will then be sent a sketch and related criteria which will be left to the discretion of the DT Coordinator. Out of the 10 candidates, we will then pick our 3 team designers.

When sending your submissions, PLEASE make sure the file size is no larger than 100KB. Please list all materials and techniques used on your layout. All submissions must be originals, not previously published or currently being considered for publication.

Failure to comply with these guidelines will disqualify you for consideration.

Deadline to submit for the first stage is February 28, 2006. The ten candidates will be announced March 2, 2006.The deadline for the final stage will be March 12, 2006. Our three design team members will be debuted on the 2nd anniversary of Scrappers Galore – April 1, 2006!
