Sendai is a medium sized city that is famous for it’s seafood.  Its fish market is one of the largest (but still well behind Tsukiji) and so the seafood is super fresh.  We ended up with a sashimi banquet .  You can see in the picture Scallops, maguro (slices and pulp), katsuo, sweet shrimp, normal shrimp and salmon eggs.  All in all a very nice meal.
